BINTULU, 20 NOVEMBER 2023: The “This is My Story” competition, organized by Harwood Timber Sdn Bhd, was held on November 20, 2023, at the HTSB Bintulu office. The judges for the event were Puan Rosilawati Binti Abdillah, Senior AGM Corporate Services, and Mr. Bong Siu Nam, Senior AGM Finance and Business Management. The competition aimed to enhance leadership skills, communication, and presentation abilities among staff members, while also promoting a learning culture within the organization.
The competition had two categories: individual and group. In the individual category, Syuhadah binti Safuddin from the support staff won first place, followed by Mohamad Shahrim bin Bussman and Spencer ak Temenggong from the supervisor level. In the executive level category, Abang Shukeri bin Abang Pata secured first place, with Nurul Izzah binti Udin and Wan Nur Azid bin Wan Hamzah coming in second and third place respectively.
The group category saw four teams competing against each other. Group Sibu emerged as the winners, followed by Group Kuching and Group Bintulu in second and third place respectively.
Overall, “This is My Story” competition was a huge success in empowering leadership skills, improving communication and presentation abilities among staff members, and promoting a learning culture within HTSB. The competition provided an excellent platform for staff members to showcase their talents and share their stories with their colleagues. It is hoped that this competition will continue to be held annually to further enhance the skills of HTSB’s staff members and promote a positive learning culture within the organization.
