KUCHING, 15 JANUARY 2024: On a recent visit to CHITOSE, the General Manager of Harwood Timber Sdn Bhd, Tuan Haji Abu Hassan Bin Yusuf, and his entourage were given a tour of the facility. Accompanying them was Yang Berbahagia Dato Sri Haji Mohd Naroden Bin Haji Majais.
The CHITOSE Carbon Capture Central is the first industrial microalgae production for Sarawak. CHITOSE Group is responsible for the cultivation and production of microalgae biomass, and product research and development with Sarawak Energy providing the necessary exhausted gas containing carbon dioxide to cultivate microalgae from its coal-fired power plant through a flue gas delivery system.
Overall, the visit by Tuan Haji Abu Hassan and his team was a success, with both parties expressing their enthusiasm for exploring potential collaborations in the future.
